What It Is
FanArtReview is a popular art and photo community. It is a creative pool of artists and photographers that share art, write reviews and enter contests. It is made up of both established and new artists. It draws art buyers due to the the fact that art and photography is for sale but also because all art gets feedback from other artists.
Feedback
Feedback is a feature of FanArtReview. FanArtReview ensures that everything posted gets feedback. The site uses a six star rating scale with six stars being the highest rating possible. But there are a limited number of six stars that ensures that those that receive the six star rating are true standouts. These posts are featured on the FanArtReview welcome page.
RANKINGS
At FanArtReview the reviews written on individuals posts determine the rank of the artists. There are rankings for traditional photography, mixed media photography, digital art and traditional art. The top five artists of each ranking list get trophies mailed to them at the end of the year. So in a virtual environment you can win a real object. The trophies are mailed worldwide at the beginning of the year.
CONTESTS
FanArtReview may be best known for the photo and art contests. There are thousands of contests hosted each year at FanArtReview. FanArtReview Contests are for photographers and artists of all skill levels. To enter a contest is as simple as clicking the button provided in the contest announcement. Contest entries receive feedback as well. The winner of a contest normally wins a $100 cash prize.
Posting
Posting of art and photos can be completed one of two ways. With the popular of phones and using phones to shoot photos the site has implemented feature to upload directly via phone. So you can shoot a photo and moments later have it available on FanArtReview for feedback. Photos can also be uploaded from your computer.
Forum
FanArtReview forums are a popular place for artists to share thoughts on current events in the art and photography world.
FanArtReview is a unique place for artists and photographers to share their creations with like minded individuals. A big part of it is learning from the other artists and improving ones skill set.
